On May 22nd, 2026, a container packed with sports equipment sat ready at the warehouse. Football boots gleaming. Cricket bats standing tall. Tennis rackets lined up. Hockey sticks. Badminton sets. Rugby gear. Trainers and apparel in every colour. It wasn't just a shipment—it was the culmination of countless acts of generosity from people who believed that every young person deserves access to sport.
This is their story.
The Individual Donors Who Started It All

When we put out the call for donations, we didn't expect the response we got. Eleri stepped forward. Then Timothy. Amanda didn't hesitate. Claire, Kevin, Gregory, Tiffany, Ankit, and Asana followed. And they were just the beginning. So many others joined in, each one making a choice: to give their old kit a new home, to be part of something bigger than themselves.

These aren't faceless donations. They're acts of faith. Faith that a pair of football boots sitting in a cupboard could transform a young person's confidence in Trinidad. Faith that a cricket bat could open doors. Faith that access to sport changes lives.
We don't always hear the stories behind each donation, but we feel them. We see them in the care taken to pack each item. We see them in the diversity of equipment—because our donors understood that young people need choice, variety, and opportunity across different sports.

To everyone who donated—Eleri, Timothy, Amanda, Claire, Kevin, Gregory, Tiffany, Ankit, Asana, Tom, Ben, Harry, Clara, Katya, Ethan Hui and Anish and so many others such as Levi at Venta whose generosity made this possible: you are the heartbeat of this shipment.
Thank you.
When Organisations Believe in the Mission
But individual donors weren't alone. Three organisations stepped up in a big way.
MJM Sports understood something fundamental: quality kit should never stop making an impact. Heather and the team at MJM Sports saw an opportunity to extend their mission far beyond their own walls.

"At MJM Sports, we believe quality sports kit should continue making an impact long after its first use. Supporting SeakAid gives us an opportunity to ensure surplus kit reaches communities where it can inspire participation, opportunity and enjoyment through sport. We're proud to partner with an organisation creating meaningful change through access and generosity."
Wellington College went further. Not only did they donate equipment, but they also ran a fundraiser that covered the shipping costs—removing a critical barrier that would have prevented this shipment from reaching Trinidad at all. Harry's words capture their commitment perfectly:

"We believe everyone deserves access to the opportunities sport can create, through inspiring participation, building confidence, and helping young individuals develop. SeakAid's work has allowed us to extend our impact beyond our local communities and reach young people in Trinidad who we may not otherwise have been able to support without their help. We are incredibly grateful to SeakAid for making this possible and hope their support for underprivileged communities continues to grow and create lasting positive change."
That's partnership. That's vision. That's understanding that a young person in Trinidad deserves the same chance to play, to belong, and to build confidence through sport as anyone in London. And it's going the extra mile—literally funding the journey.
Venta showed us that generosity comes in many forms. When they found themselves with promotional cricket balls that had printing errors, they made a choice: rather than let them go to waste, they'd find someone who could deliver real impact. Levi and the team at Venta understood that these balls belonged in the hands of young people facing genuine challenges.

At Venta we had a bunch of promotional cricket balls that had some errors with the logo printing. Not wanting these to go to waste, the next logical thing would be to give them away. We considered various local clubs, however, we felt it would be far better to donate these to some people who would genuinely benefit from them which would be able to deliver to those who live in challenging circumstances. SeakAid were the perfect partner for this with their amazing work empowering disadvantage youth through sports."
That's the kind of thinking that changes everything. It's not about perfection—it's about purpose. Those cricket balls, once destined for a bin, are now heading to Trinidad to inspire young people who need them most.
Where It's Going, What It Means
This shipment is heading to Trinidad and Tobago, where our partner David Ross will distribute kits to local schools and community sports groups. Many of these young people are neurodivergent or disadvantaged—they're the ones who need this access most.
For them, these aren't just old kits. They're invitations. Invitations to play. To belong. To discover what they're capable of. To build confidence and mental wellbeing through sport.
Every football boot, every cricket bat, every piece of apparel represents someone who said yes. Someone who believed.
The Ripple Effect
This is what generosity looks like when it's organised. When individual donors, corporate partners, and a charity working on the ground come together, the impact multiplies.
One person donates a pair of trainers. Another gives a football kit. An organisation like MJM Sports donates apparel. Wellington College not only contributes kit but funds the shipping. Venta transforms surplus stock into opportunity. And suddenly, a young person in Trinidad has access to sport they never thought possible.
That's the SeakAid story. That's what happens when people believe that every young person deserves to play.
