From Barnes to Grenada: St Paul’s Boot Drive Supports St Andrew’s School for Special Education


Thank you, Catherine and the St Paul’s community We just want to say a huge, heartfelt thank you to Catherine Bennett (Head of Bursaries) and everyone at St Paul’s School in Barnes for an incredible donation of boots.

This was the third year Catherine has organised a Boot Drive at the school. In previous years, boots have supported local schools and even travelled as far as Zambia as part of a school trip — and this year the St Paul’s community showed up once again with real generosity.

Parents donated around 150 pairs of rugby, football and astro boots, with sizes ranging from children’s size 10 up to adult size 10. Catherine also made sure the Boot Drive supported families at St Paul’s too — offering free boots to bursary families and raising funds for the bursary programme during Sports Day.

The boots have now been shipped to Grenada We’re proud to share that these boots have now been shipped to Grenada, where they’ll support students at St Andrew’s School for Special Education.

St Andrew’s is a small, dedicated school serving children and young people with special educational needs. After recently hosting a brilliant Athletics Sports Meet, the school has been offered support to form a football team — but many families are financially stretched, and students have not had access to football boots or kit.

boots from a school community in London can create confidence, belonging, and opportunity for young people in Grenada.

This is what community-led impact looks like: one school choosing to act, and young people on the other side of the world feeling the difference.


We’re excited to “Follow the Boots”

Now that the boots are shipped, we’re looking forward to sharing the next part of the journey.

We love showing supporters where donations go — always respectfully and safeguarding-first. Over the coming weeks (where permissions allow), we’ll be following the boots from the UK to Grenada and sharing updates as the students receive them and begin building their football team.
