The Black History Cup has always been about more than just football—it’s about community, opportunity, and breaking barriers. This year’s tournament was a true celebration of talent, teamwork, and progress, especially for girls and women in the sport.

Women’s Tournament: Inspiring the Next Generation
For the first time, the women’s tournament took centre stage—and what a show it was! Teams like Actionians and Leatherhead Girls brought skill, passion, and a sense of unity that inspired everyone watching. The level of play was outstanding, and it’s clear that England’s future in women’s football is incredibly bright. The talent on display proved that when girls and women are given the chance, they can achieve amazing things on the pitch.

Unlocking New Opportunities
The success of the women’s tournament has opened new doors for engagement and growth. We’re excited to announce that the Black History Cup will soon include women’s veterans teams, making the event even more inclusive. Plus, preparations are underway to welcome teams for the World Cup Tournament 2026—another big step for women’s football and our community.
