SeakAid Wins Lottery Funding to Empower Disadvantaged and Neurodivergent Youth Through Sport

We’re excited to announce that SeakAid has been awarded funding from the National Lottery Community Fund for our new project: Inclusive Sports Access & Well-being for Disadvantaged and Neurodivergent Youth. This support will help us break down barriers to sport for young people across Greater London, especially those who are disadvantaged or neurodivergent.

Starting on 18 September 2025, our team will be working closely with schools, community groups, and local mentors to collect and redistribute pre-loved sports equipment—like football kits, boots, and netball gear. These items will go directly to young people who need them most, ensuring that no one misses out on the benefits of sport because of financial or social barriers.

But it’s not just about equipment. We’re also piloting adapted sports sessions designed specifically for neurodivergent youth, making sure their needs and voices are at the heart of everything we do. Our inclusive community sports events will foster confidence, improve mental well-being, and build a real sense of belonging for all participants.

Over the next year, we aim to support at least 200 young people aged 10–18 across West, East, North, and South London. By working with grassroots partners and sharing updates on our website and social media, we hope to inspire even more people to get involved—whether by donating equipment, volunteering, or simply spreading the word. We’d like to thank the National Lottery Community Fund for making this project possible, and we’re grateful to everyone in the SeakAid community who continues to support our mission. Together, we can create a more inclusive, active, and connected future for young people in Greater London.

If you’d like to learn more, get involved, or share your story, please reach out to us at info@seakaid.com or follow us on our social channels. Let’s make sports accessible to all!
