THE PROJECTS

SeakAid is a charity based in the United Kingdom that collects unwanted sports equipment and distributes it to social development projects around the Caribbean. St. Vincent & the Grenadines

Our initial project launched in the island of St. Vincent in January 2018. We provided various sports equipment and associated training kit to underprivileged children. We have already delivered two barrels and with your support, we plan to send more.

Trinidad & Tobago

In May 2018, we sent a consignment to Trinidad & Tobago. We identified mentors and coaches that were in desperate need of sports and training equipment. This was an important distribution channel that kick started an academy and supplied much needed kit to boys and girls of all ages.

Saint Vincent & The Grenadines

In January 2019/20 we sent barrels and containers to support local football teams supplying kindly donated boots, trainers various sports shirts and kits. Its' good that we have secured another fantastic contact they have dedicating their time. And, offering various coaching activities supporting the children in need.

St Vincent & The Grenadines

August 2020 provided various sports items and kits to disadvantaged youth in Sharps and Owia. We helped with supplying trophies and medals for a SeakAid Cup Football tournament ran by Mona Academy in Sharps.

SeakAid approached the organisers to find ways of getting involved with the event in 2021. And, now are one of the supporting partners, this years event promises to provide SeakAid with much needed kit and boots for distribution.

St Vincent & The Grenadines

Visited and distributed kit and equipment to locals and Teams across the region. Also, managed to forge relationships with a key contact in Jamaica and Dominica for future distribution.

St Vincent & The Grenadines

After the volcanic eruptions in St Vincent on 14th April 2021, we were proactive in sending over 28 barrels to support locals. This initiative is currently ongoing, we have also secured over 1000 books from Hachette for distribution to local schools.

Sport in St Vincent and the Grenadines

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is part of the West Indies. Cricket and football are very popular sports in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Vincentians organise cricket and football games on any flat, open ground, including the beach. Netball is the most popular sport played by women on the islands.One of the well-known Vincentian Athletes is Ezra Hendrickson. He played professionally in the United States' Major League Soccer with New York MetroStars, Galaxy, Dallas, and Chivas USA, and was also a member of the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines national team.

Sport in Trinidad and Tobago

Trinidad and Tobago has no shortage of sporting talents. Cricket is mostly recognized as their most popular sport. This is further fueled by an intense rivalry that the country has with their neighbors. They have also co-hosted the 2007 Cricket World Cup. As a matter of fact, one of cricket's hall of famers, Brian "Prince" Lara was born in Trinidad and Tobago.

Next only to cricket, football is also very popular. Their national team has qualified for the FIFA World Cup in 2006. They are by far the smallest country to ever qualify for FIFA. They also hosted the 2001 FIFA U-17 World Championship as well as the 2010 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup. Basketball is also quite popular and their national team has also been making waves winning four consecutive gold medals at the Caribbean Basketball Championship (1986-1990) making them one of the most successful Caribbean teams. Other sports that have quite a following in Trinidad and Tobago include netball, rugby and even golf.
